It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for clothes, fashion, and all things pretty. In fact, my colleagues often comment on how they rarely see my in the same outfit twice. But the truth is, you don’t need a closet full of clothes to look like you have an abundant wardrobe. My goal? To show you how to make your wardrobe go further so you can spend less money and time at the mall (or online!). Today I am going to focus on a closet staple: The Denim Jacket.

Who else refuses to wear jeans on the weekend? Leggings are my go-to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. To take my leggings from drab to fab, I pair my cozy leggings with my denim jacket to add some “chic” to this weekend look.

Denim jackets are like magic when it comes to dresses. They match any dress style or length. Swap out your cardigan for your denim jacket for a more dressed down look. And yes, I know my legs are super white, I wear my porcelain skin loud and proud.

You laugh, but the Canadian Tuxedo is totally underrated! Pairing your favorite denim jacket with a great fitting pair of jeans is a versatile look that can be easily switched from a perfect patio afternoon spent with the girls to date night with your hubby, just by exchanging your basic tee for a pretty cami.

White Pants for a Classic Look

There is nothing that goes better with white pants (another closet staple) than a denim jacket. It is my spring/summer go-to for pretty much any casual occasion. No matter what shirt you pair with this dynamite combo, you will always leave the house looking chic and on-point.

Be Bold

Bold colored pants are fun and eye catching, but I often wonder if I’m attracting the wrong kind of attention. That’s why I love the denim jacket. It effortlessly tones down bright colored pants preventing my outfit from being an eyesore.

As much as I love pink and all bright colors, there is something about black that I just love. To me black is elegant, slimming, and never goes out of style. For an easy date night or GNO outfit, pair your favorite black top with your most flattering black pants and add pops of color with accessories and clutch.
